The full format change time required is only between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the model, and that includes: the diameter of the bar in the furnace, the re-centring of the cutting system, the feeder tips and robot fingers and of course the die itself and the set of punches, and then, the adjustment of the machine settings and recipe program (timings, billet length, temperatures…. ) to forge the new part.
